This is the result of the 48 Hour Film Festival I was apart of 2 weekends ago. Basically we had 48 hours to create a movie from scratch. Our assigned movie genre was Mockumentary. I was co-writer and even had a bit speaking part.

Today is a long time coming. I'm gonna sit down and write my first comedy sketch. Whoohoo!

Anyone who has known me for a while knows that writing for Saturday Night Live is the ultimate dream for me. So of course I'm really excited.

Back In the Dating Game

So I've been back in the dating game for about 6 months or so - and I HATE it! Actually, I've never liked it to begin with. But this time, I am determined to make this the last go round.

Last night, I posted what I thought was a brilliant ad on Craig's List. Here it is:

So now you know why I'm inside on a Friday night - I willingly forgo the smoky club and bar scene for the newest episode of The Clone Wars. But it'd be really cool, if someday soon, I didn't have to watch alone.

I'm 32, 5'2", HWP,NY/NJ native, been down here in the A for what seems forever. Do not let the laid back, cool girl demeanor fool you - I'm a Joizee gurl 4eva!

I have a degree, a paid off car and a brand new mortgage. My interests include travel, movies, writing, looking for off-the-beaten path things to do. I run like a screaming banshee from drama, so please don't come bringing it to my door - not interested. The little bitty baggage that I do have, I can't do anything about so take me as I am, or don't. Don't worry, it won't kill you, stalk you or anything crazy like that. Remember, I run from drama.

So back to the main issue at hand... I'm looking for you Han Solo but with a sexy Obama-like swagg. You say what you mean and not just what I want to hear. You're up to rescuing your Princess when needed. And you know I'll cross the Tattooine sands for you too. Even better,you're an adventurous, intelligent, sweet talker like you're a chocolate/tan/pecan Indiana Jones.

You know who are, and like me, you're over fighting the evil Empire (aka tha game) and ready to take the jump to lightspeed toward something more permanent and meaningful.

So answer the ad you Corellian stud, you're my only hope...

And to everyone else, May the Force Be With You...

Clever, huh? The responses have been disappointing so far. But it's still early, so I'm hopeful...

And to the dude who blasted me for not seeking Lando Calrissian: Leia hooked up with Han, not Lando. Lando was fronting like he had a good job when he was really Darth Vadar's b-- (who by the way was the Emperor's b--). Lando didn't have his own ride, he had to borrow back the Millenium Falcon from Han. And no, I'm not the Star Wars version of a "Trekkie" -- I was trying to be cute and clever. Hell, I had to Wiki "Han Solo" to find out how to spell Corellian correctly. (Please ignore the fact that I knew Han Solo was from Corellia because I'm standing by my "not a Star Wars nerd" claim.)

It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you.....

My deepest apologies to the KaiaWrites fans that were abandoned during the 2+ year span that "Life Happened" to me.

But I'm back now. Older, wiser and more motivated to get this writer thing together.
